Directory thumbnail support helps file managers show visual previews for folders instead of only generic icons. This patched libfm build is useful for desktop environments or file-management tools that want that behavior.
Users normally install it as part of a PCManFM or libfm-based setup. It does not add a full file manager by itself; the visible effect appears in applications that use the patched library.
