Description
Simple publish-and-consume networking helps applications advertise and access shared resources on a local network. The library was used by GNOME-era software that needed lightweight service publication and discovery.
Most users encounter it only as a dependency of older applications. It does not add a sharing interface by itself, and any network exposure is controlled by the program that uses the library.
