User-space access to kernel DRM services lets graphics drivers, compositors, and display tools coordinate with the Linux graphics subsystem. The Git build tracks current upstream libdrm changes.
This is a core graphics dependency, not a settings app. Installing development versions can affect display stacks, so it is mainly for testing, packaging, or systems that explicitly need the master branch.
