Applications using a noglycin gdk-pixbuf stack can still encode and decode AVIF files through libavif. This helps image viewers and desktop components support AVIF without the glycin path.
It is image codec support, not a standalone viewer. Compatibility depends on the application, gdk-pixbuf loader setup, and AVIF feature profile.
