Custom desktop shells can control PipeWire audio through WirePlumber using Astal integration. This helps panels and quick settings show volume, devices, routes, and mute state.
It is audio-control integration, not a mixer app by itself. Changes can affect microphones, speakers, capture devices, and privacy-sensitive audio routing.
