32-bit X11 applications can communicate with the X server through the XCB client-side library. This is foundational for windows, events, input, and rendering paths in many graphical programs.
It is desktop infrastructure, not an app. Git builds can change behavior, so graphics issues should be checked against the X server, toolkit, and driver stack.
