Description
32-bit networking tools can communicate with Linux kernel Netlink interfaces through a small userspace library. This is useful for firewall, routing, traffic-control, and system networking utilities.
It is a developer/system library, not a network manager. Programs using Netlink can affect live kernel networking state, so permissions and command behavior matter.
