Description
32-bit GStreamer applications can use VA-API video acceleration for supported GPUs and codecs. This may make playback or transcoding smoother by moving part of the work from the CPU to the graphics hardware.
The plugin is used inside media applications and does not create its own launcher. Results depend on drivers, GPU generation, codec support, and application settings.
