Description
32-bit GStreamer applications can use FFmpeg/libav-backed decoding and encoding inside their media pipelines. This often improves compatibility with video and audio formats that are otherwise unsupported.
It is a plugin dependency, not a separate player. Format support, performance, and legal suitability depend on the codecs enabled by the distribution and the media being processed.
