Legacy 32-bit OpenAL applications can use ALUT helpers for loading sounds and simplifying audio setup. It helps older games and multimedia programs keep positional or effects-oriented audio working.
This is compatibility infrastructure for applications, not an audio player. Problems usually appear in the game or app that loads it.
