Desktop status information and launcher access can be shown from an LCARSDE bar component. It is useful for users building the LCARS-themed desktop environment who need a panel-like area for common actions.
This is a desktop shell component. Behavior depends on the rest of LCARSDE and the window manager, so test it as part of the full session rather than as a standalone app.
