Description
Qt applications can integrate with the Wayland layer-shell protocol for panels, overlays, launchers, and desktop shell surfaces. It is useful for desktop components that need reserved screen layers instead of ordinary application windows.
This is a development/runtime component, not a user-facing app. Most users receive it as a dependency of software that already knows how to use layer-shell.
