Scanner functions on many Kyocera multifunction printers become available through SANE support files. It is useful when a Kyocera device prints correctly but scanning still needs Linux integration.
Scanner support can access documents placed on the device. Configure permissions carefully on shared machines and avoid exposing scanned private documents to other users.
