Description
Tunes Kernel Same-page Merging based on memory pressure from running QEMU/KVM virtual machines. It helps virtualization hosts save RAM by merging identical memory pages when that tradeoff is appropriate.
This is a background system service for administrators, not a desktop app. KSM can affect performance and has security tradeoffs in some multi-tenant environments, so use it deliberately on virtualization hosts.
