Description

Turns a Linux machine into a high-performance SMB file server by adding the ksmbd kernel module through DKMS. It is useful when sharing folders with Windows, Samba clients, or other SMB-compatible systems and kernel-level performance is desired.

This is low-level networking and kernel infrastructure. Misconfiguration can expose files on the network, and DKMS modules may need rebuilding after kernel updates.
