Legacy Java 10 applications can run with Oracle's historical runtime when they cannot move to a supported release.
It is mainly for compatibility with old software that explicitly requires that version. Java 10 is no longer a good default, and Oracle licensing or support terms should be checked before professional or redistributed use.
