Description
A background daemon that distributes hardware interrupt handling across CPUs on multiprocessor systems. It can improve responsiveness and throughput by avoiding poor interrupt placement on supported machines.
Most users do not interact with it directly. It is normally enabled by the system when useful, especially on servers or multicore desktops where balanced interrupts matter.
