Description
Provides additional OpenJDK components for Java Web Start and the historical browser plug-in workflow. These technologies were used to launch Java applications from web pages or JNLP files.
It is useful mainly for legacy Java applications that still depend on Web Start behavior. Browser plug-ins and remote launchers have security implications, so only run trusted applications from trusted sources.
