Description
A discrete GPU can be switched between the host system and VFIO passthrough without a full reboot. It is useful for advanced virtualization setups that share one GPU between Linux and virtual machines.
GPU hot-switching can break graphics sessions, drivers, or running VMs if the setup is wrong. Keep remote access or another display path available before testing.
