Process and resource monitoring helps users understand what the system is doing right now. GNOME System Monitor shows running processes, CPU use, memory pressure, storage activity, and other state in a graphical view.
It is useful for finding slowdowns, closing stuck applications, or checking resource usage. Ending processes can lose unsaved work or interrupt services, so use process controls carefully.
