Legacy tray icons can be shown on the GNOME top panel through the development version of Tray Icons Reloaded. It is useful for users who need newer compatibility for older status-icon applications.
Git tray extensions may break with Shell updates. Watch for hidden or duplicated icons after upgrading GNOME.
