Description
Screen brightness can be simulated with an alpha overlay when backlight control is unavailable or unsuitable. It is useful for displays that cannot be dimmed through normal hardware controls.
Overlay dimming does not reduce actual backlight power and can affect color accuracy. Use hardware brightness when available.
