A graphical GTK and GNOME front end for MPlayer. It gives users a desktop media-player interface while relying on MPlayer underneath for actual audio and video playback.
Install it if you want a GUI around MPlayer rather than controlling playback only from the terminal. Supported formats and behavior depend on MPlayer and the codecs available on the system.
