Personal computers can become Globus endpoints for managed research and institutional data transfers. It is useful when files need to move between a laptop, workstation, lab storage or remote computing service through the Globus ecosystem.
Transfers may expose selected folders to authenticated Globus workflows. Review shared paths, account access and organization policies before using it with private or regulated data.
