Description

Merged remote branches can be pruned more aggressively to keep repository branch lists clean. The command helps maintainers remove stale remote references after work has landed.

Remote branch pruning can disrupt collaborators if branches are still needed. Confirm merge status and team policy before deleting remote refs.
