Description

Commit timestamps can be changed for one commit or a range of commits when repository history needs controlled date metadata. The tool is aimed at developers who understand history rewriting.

Changing commit dates rewrites commits and can mislead audit trails if used irresponsibly. Avoid it on shared branches unless the team explicitly agrees and understands the consequences.

How to run

git-backdate

Commands: git-backdate
