A set of non-free PPD printer description files supplied by printer manufacturers. Printing systems use PPD files to expose printer capabilities, paper options, color modes, and driver settings.
Install it only when your printer model requires these files. It does not add a visible app, and the manufacturer license may limit redistribution or modification.
