Description
A virtual machine monitor for running lightweight microVMs, commonly used in serverless and container-isolation infrastructure. It focuses on fast startup, low overhead, and strong isolation boundaries for workloads.
Use it when building infrastructure that explicitly needs Firecracker microVMs. It is not a general desktop VM manager and requires careful networking, storage, kernel, and jailer configuration.
