Email can be transferred between systems through a feature-rich Exim message transfer agent setup.
This is mail server infrastructure. It can relay sensitive messages and expose network services, so configuration, TLS, anti-abuse controls, authentication, and logs need careful administration.
This lookup module lets Exim use passwd-style local account data where that integration is required.
