An Ergo blockchain node can run as a system service, helping participate in the network and maintain local blockchain state.
This is server software for a cryptocurrency protocol. It uses network bandwidth, disk space, and long-running background processes; it is not a wallet by itself and should not be installed casually on limited or shared systems.
