eQ-3 home automation components can communicate through an IPC loopback character driver supplied as a DKMS kernel module.
This is low-level hardware and kernel integration, not a normal app. Install it only when software for compatible eQ-3 or OCCU systems requires it, because broken kernel modules can affect boot or device behavior.
