Linux logins can require Duo two-factor authentication through a PAM module and login utility. It is useful for administrators adding MFA to SSH, sudo, or other PAM-protected services.
PAM authentication changes can lock users out if misconfigured. Test with a recovery session open, protect integration keys, and document emergency access.
