Creates and restores backups of ext2, ext3, and ext4 filesystems using traditional dump and restore workflows. It helps administrators make filesystem-level backups when file-by-file tools are not enough.
Backup and restore commands can read or overwrite large parts of a filesystem. Verify target devices, keep tested backups, and avoid running restore operations on the wrong disk.
