Description
Desktop portal availability can be checked from the command line for xdg-desktop-portal integrations. It is useful when diagnosing Flatpak, sandboxed apps, screen sharing, file picker, or permission portal behavior.
Portal checks reveal capability status but do not fix backend configuration by themselves. Compare results with the desktop environment and installed portal backends.
