Desktop tray integration becomes more compatible on environments that use the StatusNotifierItem protocol. It helps DeaDBeeF show a modern status icon instead of relying on the older tray icon behavior.
This is a plugin for desktops that support StatusNotifierItem through panels or applets. It does not add playback features; it improves how the player appears in the desktop notification area.
