Description

Media files can be fingerprinted and checked with hashes and metadata-oriented workflows. This is useful for archivists who need to verify collections, detect changes, or track media integrity over time.

Hashing does not tell whether media is legal, safe, or high quality; it only helps identify exact or structured file states. Store manifests carefully and avoid exposing private file names in shared reports.
