Descent 1 data can be played with a prebuilt version of the enhanced Rebirth engine. This is useful for players who want the classic game experience on Linux without building the engine from source.
Original game assets may still be required, and gameplay includes action combat. Use the binary package when convenience matters more than controlling the local build process.
