Description

Software repositories can be mounted through a scalable FUSE-based filesystem designed for distributed computing environments. This is useful for research clusters, virtual machines, and sites that need shared software stacks without copying everything locally.

It is infrastructure, not a normal file browser. Configuration affects trusted repositories, cache storage, network access, and software provenance, so administrators should review repository keys and policies.
