Description
Discovers remote CUPS queues and IPP network printers, then makes them available to the local printing system. It helps desktops find shared printers without adding each queue manually.
Use it on networks where printer discovery is wanted. In managed or privacy-sensitive environments, automatic discovery can expose or add printers you did not explicitly choose, so administrators may prefer tighter configuration.
