Description
Processor use can be controlled for selected processes so one workload does not consume all available CPU time. It is useful for administrators throttling background tasks while keeping the desktop or server responsive.
CPU limiting can change timing and performance of the target process. Test with noncritical workloads before applying limits to services, databases, or real-time tasks.
