Description

One-time password codes can be generated from the command line for two-factor authentication accounts. It is useful for users who prefer terminal-based OTP access instead of a phone app or graphical authenticator.

OTP secrets are equivalent to sensitive account credentials. Protect the storage file, backups, and terminal output, and do not use it on machines you do not trust.
