Stores the authoritative cluster map and distributed state that Ceph services rely on. It is a monitor daemon for storage administrators building or operating a Ceph cluster, not an app for direct desktop use.
Monitor quorum is critical for cluster availability. Configure hosts, networking, time synchronization, and recovery plans carefully before changing monitor services in production.
