Description

Sleep and screen locking can be temporarily inhibited from the command line. It is useful during presentations, long downloads, media playback, or tasks that should not be interrupted by power saving.

This is a power-management helper. Leaving inhibition active can waste battery, keep displays on, or reduce privacy on unattended machines, so disable it when the task is finished.
