Lost passwords for owned LUKS encrypted volumes can be tested through a brute-force recovery workflow. It is useful for legitimate recovery attempts when the user has authorization and enough information to define a realistic search.
This is a security and password-recovery tool. Use it only on volumes you own or are authorized to audit; brute-force attempts can take a very long time and may be illegal or abusive against other people's data.
