Description
C++ applications can use Botan 2 cryptographic primitives when a legacy version is required. It is useful for maintaining software that has not migrated to newer Botan releases.
Cryptography libraries must be kept current for security-sensitive use. Use legacy versions only when compatibility requires them and understand the maintenance risk.
