Free game data lets Heretic-compatible engines start without the original proprietary IWAD. It is useful for players and preservation projects that want a redistributable fantasy shooter data set.
This is game content, not a separate game engine. A compatible source port is still needed, and fantasy combat content may not be appropriate for all children.
