Description

Mirrors one directory into another through FUSE while changing ownership, permissions, or access behavior. It is useful for sharing files with different user IDs, sandboxing views, or adapting directories for services.

Permission mapping can expose or hide files in surprising ways. Test mounts with non-critical directories and review read, write, and ownership rules before using it around private data.
