Description
Compresses files from the command line with a high compression ratio and fast decompression. It is useful for archiving data where smaller output size matters more than having a common archive format.
Use a dedicated output path and keep originals until extraction has been tested. Less common compression formats may not be supported by every recovery or sharing workflow.
