Description
Older applications can keep running when they require libavutil version 52 from older FFmpeg releases. It helps compatibility setups support media software that has not been rebuilt for current FFmpeg libraries.
Compatibility media libraries should be kept only for software that truly needs them. Prefer rebuilt applications when available.
