Description
Scans local networks with ARP to discover hosts and inspect link-layer addressing. It is useful for administrators troubleshooting LAN inventory, duplicate addresses, or unknown devices on a segment.
ARP scanning sends packets on the local network and may trigger monitoring alerts. Use it only on networks where you have permission to perform discovery.
